1. Scope of the service
This document governs the terms and conditions applicable to the contracting of sworn translation services offered through the website traduccion-jurada.idisc.com.
The translations are carried out by sworn translators authorized in accordance with current Spanish regulations, and are delivered in digital format with an electronic signature and, where selected by the Client, also in physical format.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions shall apply:
Client: The natural person contracting the service.
Service: A personalized sworn translation in accordance with Order AEC/2125/2014.
Original Document: The file(s) provided by the Client for translation.
Digital Delivery: Delivery by email of the sworn translation with an electronic signature.
Physical Delivery: Hard-copy delivery via a courier service.
Business Day: Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in Spain.
Start of Service: The moment when the order enters production following validation.
3. Contracting process
The service is contracted through direct purchase on the website.
The contract shall be considered formalized once:
the Client completes the purchase process,
accepts these Terms and Conditions,
and payment is confirmed.
The Client is responsible for carefully reviewing all order details before completing the purchase, including languages, number of pages, delivery method, urgency level, and contact information.
4. Price, taxes and payment
The prices displayed on the website for individual customers include VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Payment can be made by:
credit or debit card,
supported payment platforms, subject to availability.
In the event of a technical or typographical error in the displayed price, iDISC reserves the right to cancel the order and refund the amount paid, notifying the Client as soon as possible.
5. Start of Service and order validation
The Service shall begin automatically once payment has been confirmed, provided that the order does not present any issues.
iDISC may place the order on hold if any of the following situations are identified:
discrepancy between the number of pages contracted and the Original Document,
unavailable language combination,
illegible, incomplete or technically defective file.
In such cases, the order will remain on hold until the Client provides a correct version of the Original Document. Delivery times will be adjusted accordingly.
6. Delivery times
6.1 Digital delivery
The indicated timeframes are estimates, do not constitute an absolute guarantee of delivery, and are subject to correct receipt of payment and documentation, as well as the absence of technical or validation issues.
Orders placed before 12:00 p.m. (Spanish mainland time) on a business day: digital delivery on the next business day.
Orders placed after 12:00 p.m.: digital delivery within up to 2 working days.
6.2 Physical delivery
Physical delivery is carried out through independent courier companies and is offered primarily within Spain.
Physical delivery times depend exclusively on the selected courier company and are not the responsibility of iDISC once the shipment has been handed over to the carrier.
Shipments outside Spain may be arranged on an exceptional basis, subject to logistical feasibility, specific costs and delivery times, which must be accepted by the Client in advance.
Where available at checkout, the Client may choose between standard or express shipping. The selected shipping method affects transport only and does not modify the production time of the translation.
7. Nature of service and receiving institution
Each receiving agency or institution may establish its own requirements regarding format, medium, legalization or acceptance of sworn translations.
The Client is responsible for verifying such requirements in advance. iDISC does not guarantee the acceptance of the translation by a specific institution where such requirements have not been confirmed by the Client.
iDISC shall not be liable for errors resulting from incomplete, altered, illegible, or falsified Original Documents.
8. Right of withdrawal, cancellations and refunds
The Service offered constitutes a personalized service, carried out according to the Client’s specifications.
The Client understands and accepts that placing an order automatically triggers the start of the technical production process of the Service.
8.1 Cancellation prior to technical production
Cancellation shall only be possible provided that the order has not yet entered technical production. Once execution of the Service has begun, cancellation of the order shall no longer be possible.
8.2 Exclusion of the right of withdrawal
Once the execution of the Service has begun, the right of withdrawal shall not apply, in accordance with current consumer protection regulations governing personalized services.
8.3 Refunds
Corrections or refunds may be considered only in cases of serious material errors attributable to the translation, subject to prior review of the case by iDISC.
9. Completion of the Service and liability
The Service shall be deemed completed at the moment the sworn translation is sent to the Client by email.
IDISC’s total liability for direct damages arising from the Service shall, in all cases, be limited to the amount actually paid by the Client for the order giving rise to the claim, except where otherwise required by law.
iDISC shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of business opportunities, or third-party claims.
10. Invoicing
The Client is entitled to request the corresponding invoice for the Service.
In the case of individual customers, the invoice may be requested by contacting iDISC through the channels indicated on the website.
For B2B services and VAT-exempt invoicing, the Client must contact iDISC in advance to allow for manual order processing and verification of the applicable tax requirements.
11. Use of tools, confidentiality and data protection
For the provision of the Service, iDISC may use support tools such as OCR, CAT tools, translation memories, glossaries, terminology databases, and artificial intelligence, applying reasonable security and confidentiality measures at all times.
All documentation provided by the Client shall be treated as confidential and used exclusively for the provision of the Service.
The processing of the Client’s personal data is governed by the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
